Cell Collection Instructions

Welcome to the exciting world of biotechnology as seen through the unique eyes of Biotechnovelties! In this process you will be performing the VERY important task of collecting cells from the inside of your cheeks using a soft bristled brush. The cells will adhere to the brush and you will then shake them free into the solution of the screw cap vial. Although anytime will work, we do ask that you avoid collecting right after eating or brushing your teeth. And for the very best results try collecting as soon as you awake in the morning.

Step 1: Using the first brush, roll bristles along the inside of one of your cheeks for 30-45 seconds.

Step 2: Carefully place brush into vial, rotating vigorously in the solution, then run all sides of the brush along the rim of the vial numerous times until you see that all or most of the fluid has been removed from the bristles.

Step 3: Dispose of the used cytology brush.

Step 4: Using 2^nd brush, repeat steps one through three this time on the other cheek.

Step 5:  Using 3^rd brush, repeat steps one through three, this time focusing on the regions between your gums and cheeks/lips.

Step 6: Screw the lid of the collection vial back into place and place the capped vial into the padded envelope provided for you.

Step 7: Completely fill out the order form.

Your cells will be processed immediately and the finished Amulet will be returned to you as promptly as possible. Please allow two to four weeks for processing and shipping.
